Use media from library in the CSV file#488

I would like to put the media URL from the Media Library in a CSV file without ending up having duplicates in the library.

This would be awesome

This would be a good addition to save Publer’s cloud storage ! (And have a tidy Media Library as well)

An update on this topic:

Publer will no longer re-download media from URL that already exists on our servers.

This will prevent duplicate media in the library and will save time / resources.

To use a media from library in the CSV file, simply go to Library, click on a media and then right click on the photo or video that you want to use.

Select “Copy image address” or “Copy video address” based on the media type and paste it in the CSV file.

We will eventually add an option in the library that will allow you to copy the address above with a click of a button. That’s why I’m not closing this ticket yet :)

Hi Ilya,

We are still gathering feedback about this feature request and hope to be able to develop this in the future.

Thank you!

I would like to be able to download a list of all hosted images on my Publer account. Preferably with a file name so I can backtrack which image on the Publer server corresponds with a specific filenam/post.

So a downoad in CSV. Now if I want to do 500 posts at the time, I need to host the images myself (because manually selecting the images for 500 posts is too much work). And when I host the image myself, if I do more then 10 posts at the time, it will upload the media to the posts because there are too many requests to my server. So I would need to hire an expensive server just for uploading bulk to Publer.

Another option would be to rename the files in a predictable way. So if I upload an image named Image1.jpg, that the url structure will be https://cdn.publer.io/uploads/photos/XXXXImage1.jpg where XXXX stands for an account signifier.

Amazing you are working on this! Im afraid Im not sure if it is what I mentioned in my comments. Just to clarify:

I upload from csv files. With very short videos, I can only do about 14 videos each time because they are hosted on my server and the server is not capable of serving more than 14 at once apparantly.

If I do more, some videos will not have loaded.

I would like to be able to upload a lot more at the same time. So I would either need a much bigger server.

Or, and this is what this thread is about for me: you upload the images all to the Publer library and then refer to them once you upload your csv. This way, the limitations of the server capacity are (for me at least) gone and your servers can probably handle much more requests at the same time)

So what I would like is to be able to mass upload content to the library. (Which I can now do, BUT I do not know what file has what URL. So I can not refer to in in bulk. I would have to click on every single video and extract the URL.

Since I work from CSV and with large quantities of videos, this would defeat the entire purpose of using the CSV capabilities because I would manually have to select all videos.

I hope this is clear and you could solve it. If not, I still love Publer. Thank you!

I would love for an addition to be added to this that allows for bulk exporting of video URLs, or for media to be preselected and captions added via CSV, only updating the titles and captions corresponding to the row in the sheet.
