Currently, when uploading a video, you can either pick one of the five auto-generated thumbnails or upload your own image. Both options are often less than ideal: the generated suggestions rarely capture the exact moment you want, and creating and uploading a custom thumbnail means extra work.
It would be great if you could instead scrub through the uploaded video and select any frame directly as the thumbnail — similar to what was already requested/implemented for Instagram videos, but available for all videos in general.
Tools like Buffer already offer this, so it’s a well-established feature that users are used to.
Benefit: You can pick the perfect moment as your thumbnail without being limited to the generated suggestions or having to build a custom image yourself.
This saves time and helps keep a clean, consistent look.
