Integrate Publer with automation services such as Zapier or Make#49

Would be great to have integration with services like Zapier (zapier.com) and IFTTT (ifttt.com) to have automated tasks between Publer & other services.

this is just what i was praying for!!!!!!
IFTTT is great (unlimited tasks)
Zapier is good (limited free tasks)

Yes absolutely - ability to add newly posted blog articles to Publr automatically via Zapier would be fantastic.

I completely understand your concerns about protecting your relationships with social networks and preventing abuse, these are important considerations. However, as many have suggested, perhaps there’s an opportunity to offer highly restricted or limited API access for non-enterprise users, especially given the strong community demand for this feature.

Even though I personally don’t have an need for API access, I can absolutely see the significant value it would provide to many users.

Out of curiosity and to better understand the risks, could you clarify specifically what led to Buffers issues and how their handleing of their API leads to them suspending access, as you mentioned earlier? It could be beneficial to learn from their experience. Perhaps this knowledge could help your team design a carefully limited solution for lower-tier plans, mitigating similar risks for Publer.

I’d take any integration with Zapier, Make, etc. I’m hoping an API would facilitate all of this. It’s great that it’s in the works, but would be great to see it prioritised as it’d undoubtedly lead to far higher usage of Publer and also allow us to integrate some of our AI workflows.

Recap since many may miss our update:

• By the end of Q2, we’re aiming to offer a public API to our Enterprise customers and top ambassadors.

• We will then work on the Zapier, Make, etc integrations in Q3, integrations that will be available to everyone.

Why won’t our API be available to everyone?

Unfortunately, we need to protect the relationships we have built with social networks these past 10+ years and we will be responsible for every action taken through custom apps.

We cannot simply let everyone use our API, which communicates with tens of other APIs, as that would put our business at risk.

Zapier, Make, and co. offer us an extra layer of protection against abusers and spammers.
