Make possible to tag user in post on Linkedin#384

It would be super helful to be able to to tag users when we make a post on linkedin. Is it something you are working on ?
Thanks!

LinkedIn does not allow this at the moment, probably in order to prevent spamming.

Curious to hear the status on this! I can tag personal LinkedIn accounts using other social media manager platforms, and without this feature, Publer is pretty useless to me as far as managing our LI account, which is our main social media platform at the moment.

Hi @Meredith Bird

You can tag LinkedIn Pages, personal LinkedIn accounts are still limited from LinkedIn API when it comes to tagging. Here you can find the latest article link: https://publer.com/help/en/article/how-to-tagmention-people-or-social-accounts-12vywhs/

And please feel free to share with us which other platform allows you to tag personal account, we can take a look at it if that is possible.
Thank you. :)

Thanks! And it’s Sprout Social. I admit it’s sometimes a little clunky and I believe it is limited to tagging those who “follow” our company’s page, but generally I can tag the personal accounts of those I need to.

Hi Meredith, and everyone!

We just made it possible for you to tag LinkedIn personal profiles, if:

  • It’s a social account you’ve added to Publer, i.e. tagging yourself at the end of the post

  • [NEW] It’s a follower of your LinkedIn Page(s), regardless if you have added those LinkedIn Pages to Publer

Keep in mind that if you would like to tag your followers, you need to reauthorize your LinkedIn connection so that Publer can have access to this new permission.

If you manage a lot of LinkedIn Pages, searching for a follower to tag may take longer than usual due to the number of API calls we need to make.

P.S. We’re leaving this thread open in case LinkedIn decides to support global user search through their API.
