Add support for DELETE endpoint in Publer’s Public API#3151

I am building an app for my personal business using Publer’s API and I noticed that DELETE endpoint gets refused.

Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X and LinkedIn support deleting published posts via their official APIs but Publer’s Public API don’t support this.

Please add support for the DELETE endpoint.

Could you make “Delete from network” available through the API (an option on DELETE /posts, or opening /posts/{id}/destroy_single to API keys)? Right now DELETE /posts only removes the post from Publer, and destroy_single says we don’t have permission. Every network’s own API supports deleting published posts: Facebook Pages, Instagram (posts, Reels, carousels), Threads, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google Business and Bluesky. Your dashboard already offers it for most of them. Having it in the API would let us manage from our own tool as well. Thanks!

HI @Moazzam Ishaq

We currently support deletion from the API:
To delete one post, use:

DELETE /api/v1/posts/{id}/destroy_single
Authorization: Bearer-API YOUR_API_KEY
Publer-Workspace-Id: YOUR_WORKSPACE_ID

The API key’s user must be the post’s creator. For multiple posts, use DELETE /api/v1/posts with post_ids[].
Include the IDs to avoid deleting all eligible unpublished posts.

You can check more here: https://publer.com/docs/posting/delete-posts

Thanks for the quick reply! I tried it, but DELETE /api/v1/posts/{id}/destroy_single returns 403 “You don’t have permission to access this specific endpoint.”, even for a post our own API key had just created (a draft, post ID 6ad9116782c277e813e7aa75, created via POST /posts/schedule a few seconds before). The same key creates, edits and deletes (Publer-only) posts fine in workspace 63954499db27972f94f5427e. Is there a scope or permission we need to enable on the API key, or does the endpoint need to be switched on for my account? Thanks!

It seems like the DELETE /api/v1/posts endpoint removes posts from Publer workspace, but it does not delete them from the social networks.

Since all networks support deleting published posts so please add this feature to your API.
