Feature Request: Detailed Content Creation & Media Asset Audit Logs#2906

Feature Summary:
Introduce a detailed Workspace Activity Log for Admins and Owners to track granular content creation actions, specifically focusing on which team members schedule posts, upload/delete media, and modify drafts.

The Problem / Use Case:
Currently, when multiple team members work inside the same Publer workspace, it is difficult to see the exact history of content creation. If a scheduled post is modified, an asset is deleted from the media library, or an approved post is changed back into a draft, Admins cannot see who made the change. For teams managing multiple content creators, this lacks accountability. We need a clear log of actions taken before a post is actually published.

Proposed Requirements & Features:

Tracking Content & Scheduling ActionsThe log must capture the exact action, timestamp, and user who performed the following:

  • Post Creation: Who created a post (Draft, Scheduled, or added to Queue).
  • Post Modifications: Who edited a scheduled post, changed its time, or modified the caption.
  • Status Overrides: Who manually moved a post from “Pending Approval” to “Approved” or vice versa.
  • Deletions: Who deleted a scheduled post or removed content from the Queue.

Tracking Media Library Actions

Since media storage and assets are shared across the workspace, the system needs to log:

  • Media Uploads: Who added new images, videos, or GIFs to the Media Library.
  • Media Deletions: Who permanently deleted files from the Media Library (to trace accidentally lost assets).
  • Media Usage: Which team member attached a specific piece of media to a post.

Suggested Log Format Example:

  • [Timestamp] John Doe scheduled a new post for LinkedIn.
  • [Timestamp] Jane Smith deleted “promo_video.mp4” from the Media Library.
  • [Timestamp] John Doe modified the scheduled time of Draft #4589.
